 Our company, AMFRI FARMS LTD also known as AFRICAN ORGANIC, located in Kampala, Uganda is the largest exporter of organic fruits and vegetables from Uganda. We are certified by IMO-Institut of Marketeclogy out of Switzerland. Besides a 1500 acre company farm,400 of which are certified, we have over 100 outgrowers. We are also subscribers to FAIR TRADE and pay our outgrowers premimun prices for their products like pineapple, apple bananas, ginger and passion fruit. We also grow VANILLA and scotch bonnet pepper for the export market.
VANILLA
Vanilla grown in Uganda is considered to be comparable in quality to that grown in Madagascar, the largest producer.
Our very high quality vanilla -BOURBON variety is currently being processed and should be ready in about 4 to 6 weeks. Vanilla from Uganda is of good quality -you can check that on the internet too. Ours is superior because of high care processing and special attention to the vanillin content.
Our price for Garde A per kg CIF is likely to be in the region of 150.00 USD TO 175.00USD per kg. We also have GRADE D cuts @ 85.00 USD a kg. As the vanilla is shipped by air(DHL), the minimum order applies.
